Hiking Together: The cross-ING Hiking Event 2025

At cross-ING, it has become a tradition to lace up our hiking boots once a year and explore the mountains together. Every two years, this turns into a two-day adventure with an overnight stay – as it did this year.

On August 22 and 23, 2025, employees from all regions came together for the big hiking event in the Alpstein. As always, two routes were available: a gentler option for those who prefer a more relaxed hike, and a more challenging one for the sporty adventurers. This way, everyone could enjoy the experience at their own pace.

The journey began in Brülisau. Some chose the comfortable cable car ride up to Hoher Kasten, followed by a hike to Berggasthaus Staubern, while others set off on foot straight from the valley station. In the evening, we shared an apéro, a delicious dinner, and an overnight stay at Berggasthaus Staubern – the perfect setting to connect beyond daily work and strengthen our team spirit.

After a hearty breakfast on Saturday, the adventure continued with different route options once again: from a relaxed hike ending in a scooter ride back to Brülisau, to more demanding tours over Saxerlücke, Zwinglipass, Bogartenlücke, or Alp Sigel. No matter the choice, the true highlight was the sense of togetherness and the awe-inspiring alpine scenery.

The cross-ING hiking event has long been more than just a mountain outing: it is a living expression of our company culture. Engineers, project leaders, and team members from different sites come together as equals – without hierarchies, but with plenty of passion, humor, and team spirit.

We firmly believe that experiences like these are key to ensuring that at cross-ING, we are closely connected not only professionally but also on a personal level.
