Future-Ready Industry: Where Are the Key Levers?

How can industrial companies become more efficient and resilient while remaining competitive? This was the focus of our discussions with industry experts and companies on 22 September at the 13th Industrie Next – the industry forum hosted by Next Industries in Brugg-Windisch.

Our conversations with visitors provided valuable insights and strong feedback on topics that represent key ambitions, challenges and opportunities for Swiss companies:

  • Digital continuity: What are the next meaningful steps in processes and functionalities to make better use of data?

  • Switzerland as a business location: How can companies leverage their Swiss location to differentiate themselves and strengthen their competitive position?

  • Managing regulatory requirements: How can companies achieve sustainable compliance with regulations such as the CRA, MVO and others – without having to launch another major compliance project in the near future?

  • Cost and margin pressure: How can costs be further optimised across design, procurement, production and after-sales?

  • Digital sovereignty and cloud: How can existing applications, computing and hosting concepts be adapted to ensure companies retain control over their digital assets?

Technology alone does not create a competitive advantage – it is the targeted application of technology to specific business challenges that makes the difference. This is exactly where cross-ING comes in: identifying potential, evaluating business cases and jointly developing solutions that can be integrated step by step into existing engineering and production processes.

Many thanks to Next Industries and all participants of the 13th Industrie Next for the inspiring discussions and valuable insights.
